What can Wisdom help with?

How does Wisdom work alongside University support?

Wisdom gives you access to confidential support, self-help resources and wellbeing tools outside of university service hours.

Our firstpoint, Student Support and Wellbeing, Counselling and Mental Health, Disability and Dyslexia, Money Advice and other support services continue to provide specialist University support during opening hours (08:30 till 16:30, Monday to Friday).

What Wisdom isn’t designed for

Wisdom is not:

  • An emergency service
  • A replacement for University counselling or mental health support
  • A substitute for medical treatment
  • A crisis intervention service
  • A way to contact University staff

If you’re in crisis or need urgent help, call 999. You may find it helpful to follow the University’s emergency support guidance.
