TV Licence

You will need to find out if you need a TV licence, even as a student, a licence may be required.

TV Licensing

If you use television-receiving equipment without a valid TV Licence, you risk prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000, plus court costs, and you will need to buy a TV Licence if you still need one.

If you receive a letter from TV Licensing as the occupier of your accommodation but do not need a licence, do not ignore the letter. It is best to ring them and talk through your circumstances. Their contact details will be on the correspondence they send you.
