The Money Advisers offer one to one appointments at the St John’s campus in Worcester. We also offer telephone and Teams appointments to students, including to those studying at one of the University’s partner institutions.

We do not give legal advice but we can help you to identify major elements of your welfare or financial difficulties and provide information, advice and help to resolve them.

  • Listen to you
  • Explain the options available to you
  • Help you identify further action to take
  • Help you fill in forms and draft letters if necessary
  • Contact other organisations for further information if relevant
  • Liaise with others on your behalf, e.g. Student Finance England

In addition, we administer the Access to Learning Fund, which is available to eligible Home and EU students (eligible for Home Fee status) experiencing severe financial hardship. The fund is non-repayable and may be applied for at any time during the academic year and even during the long holiday months for some students.

International students (paying international fees) in year 2 or above, with an unexpected financial difficulty requiring one-off short-term help can apply to the International Student Hardship Fund.
