Many courses have placements associated with them. Some courses such as those in Education, Health or Sport have mandatory placements, the outcomes of which will determine whether you are successful on the course.
Health Courses:
Placement support for courses under the School of Nursing and Midwifery and School of Allied Health and Community is provided by our Placement Support Team (PLAST). They are there to plan and record your placements and offer advice and guidance, they also provide assistance to the placement providers. Students are fully supported in practice by dedicated mentors, NHS practice facilitators, and by the University’s Practice Development Team.
Current students can contact PLAST via the self-service portal or via e-mail on plast@worc.ac.uk more information can be found on the placement support webpages.
Students in our Three Counties Medical School can contact the school directly regarding placement support and arrangements, by emailing TCMSplacements@worc.ac.uk for further guidance.
The University of Worcester College of Health & Sciences also offers a Compliments and Concerns webpage, allowing you to provide positive feedback or to raise a concern regarding your experience on placement.
